Privacy Policy

Grove is built by Acorn Labs. This policy explains what information we collect when your company uses Grove, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

What we collect

When your company signs up for Grove, we collect the information needed to run the product: names, work email addresses, roles, and reporting lines for the people your admin adds to the account. As your team uses Grove day to day, we also store the content people create inside it, goals, key results, progress updates, and reflection responses, along with basic activity data like login timestamps.

We do not ask for or store personal information beyond what your company provides through normal use of the product. We do not run ads, and we do not collect data for advertising purposes.

How we use it

We use this information to operate Grove for your company: displaying goals and org structure, calculating progress, routing approvals between employees and managers, and sending the email notifications the product relies on, like invites and password resets. We also use aggregated, non-identifying usage patterns to understand what parts of the product are working and what needs improvement.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Who can see what

Grove is built around the idea that reflections stay private until both sides are ready to share them. Within your company's account, visibility follows role: employees see their own goals and reflections, managers see their direct reports' approved goals and shared reflections, and HR admins have the broader visibility needed to run the season across the company. Company data is kept separate from every other company using Grove.

Where your data lives

Grove is hosted on Supabase and Vercel, both of which maintain their own security and infrastructure practices. We rely on these providers for database hosting, backups, and application hosting rather than running our own servers.

How long we keep it

We retain your company's data for as long as your account is active. If your company stops using Grove, we retain data for a reasonable period in case you want to export it or resume service, after which it is deleted on request.

Your choices

People using Grove can ask their HR admin to correct inaccurate profile information. Company admins can request a full export or deletion of their company's data by writing to us.

Cookies

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use it, which sets cookies to distinguish returning visitors and measure activity. We use this only to understand site traffic, not for advertising, and it is separate from the Grove product itself. The Grove product uses only strictly necessary cookies, the kind required to keep you signed in, and does not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Changes to this policy

Grove is an early-stage product, and this policy may change as the product and our infrastructure evolve. If we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page.
